It’s time for week 4 of Project 365, I’ve really enjoyed snapping a photo every day this month. Even on the days when nothing much happens, I can always find something to take a photo of.

I had a very nice albeit chilly bike ride over to the doctor on Monday morning to drop a sample off. I’m hoping to use my bike a lot more this year as I used to love cycling everywhere. It’s a great form of gentle exercise and that’s exactly what I need.

A postcard arrived all the way from Australia from a postcard mailing I took part in recently. This was arranged through the Bring Back Paper Facebook group that Jocelyn from The Reading Residence runs. I sent my postcard to a lady in Canada, it was really good fun to take part and I would definitely take part again.

Wednesday was fresh bedding day, is there a nicer feeling than climbing into fresh sheets at bedtime?
23/365 January 23rd
Thursday was another chilly day and Mo found his favoured spot next to the radiator very cosy indeed. Nobody wanted to get up this morning after staying up late last night to watch The Traitors. We usually watch it the next day but I wanted to avoid spoilers with it being the final three episodes this week.
24/365 January 24th
My drink of choice for Friday’s finale of The Traitors was a strawberry milkshake. It’s not something I drink that often but I really fancied a nice cold glass.

On Saturday morning we went into our local town to visit the museum and art gallery. I took so many lovely photos but I thought I would share this one as it’s one of my favourite paintings. This photo doesn’t do the colours justice at all, it’s so vibrant and detailed.
26/365 January 26th
Sunday is always spent getting prepared for the next week, cleaning and putting things back in the places they belong. I thought I would snap a photo of the lovely candle and wax melt bar that I bought from fellow blogger Anne’s online shop.
I thought how French with your bike and baguette in the basket.
How lovely to receive a postcard from Canada and that painting is so pretty. x
Love that postcard arrangement. Such a lovely idea.
My bike is in one of the barns somewhere I think. It’s not easy cycling round here as it’s way too far to go to the nearest shop, so it’s just aimless cycling. I only do it if N wants to go out but now he’s old enough to go to the next villages on his own.
Sometimes I like aimless cycling if the weather is nice of course.
I did feel very parisian!
Love seeing the photos of your week. The postcard swap sounds fun. I love getting snail mail. I agree with you about fresh bedding too ☺️ #MMBC
Thanks Lisa, I used to penpal but couldn’t keep up so a postcard swap seems the perfect alternative.
The painting drew my eye immediately when I saw it. I love the bright colors. I enjoyed your week! #MMBC
It’s beautiful isn’t it, so vibrant.
Is that a stuffed croissant on your bookshelf? That is so cute! That painting is beautiful.
It certainly is! his name is Claude.
Lovely to get out on the bike. I’d like to use mine more but we have a lot of HGVs on our local roads and it makes cycling quite terrifying. How lovely to get a postcard from Australia through the Bring Back Paper group. Fresh sheets at bedtime is always lovely. What a beautiful painting. #project365
I love getting out on my bike too, I need to do it more often!
The postcards were such a cool idea, but I was very distracted by the cute croissant jellycat!
I need to get back out on my back, it’s been 18 months since I rode it last. I send postcards from our holidays to family and friends, don’t get as many back though. Time to change our bedding I think, we’re still using our Christmas themed one. I do love a milkshake, but need to be in the right mood for one.
Catching up on posts I missed last month, apologies for the delay. That’s a gorgeous still life, such vibrant colours!
Love your bedding, so cute. I miss the days when we wrote letters and sent postcards, I remember the feeling of anticipating the reply and getting mail was always such a joy.
I spotted the Jellycat croissant on your shelf, isn’t it a darling?!
