Project 365-Week 7

This second week of February seems to have flown by at super speed. Why does February always seem so short when in reality it only has a few days less than the other months?

It has been a pretty nice week with lots of little moments of contentment.

41/365 February 10th

On Monday I started a new book, I’m slowly working through the books on my shelf that I haven’t yet read. I’m also listening to the audiobook Incidents Around The House by Josh Malerman which is a horror. I like to have a couple of books on the go at the same time.

The kids and I have been watching Inside The Factory on BBC iPlayer on Tuesday evenings. We have run out of current episodes to watch so chose an older one about Jellybeans. I bought some jellybeans to share while we watched and they turned out to be the exact ones they were making on the show. What a happy and tasty coincidence.

On Wednesday I finally spotted some Daffodils on my walk with Indie. I was so happy to see them even if they hadn’t flowered yet. That’s another sign of spring ticked off the list.

On Thursday I had a nice quiet day at home pottering about and getting some more projects ticked off the list. I snapped some photos of Indie for a competition, she’s a great model.

Friday was Valentine’s Day and we had a lovely homecooked meal to celebrate. This is Million Dollar Mac and Cheese and it was delicious. It has a mix of smoked cheese and Red Leicester cheese in the sauce and added crispy pancetta and crushed crackers on top.

I took so many photos today so it was really hard to just choose one. We visited Norton Priory Museum & Gardens as Luke Jerram’s Mars was on display there. Several years back we saw his Moon which was just amazing so didn’t want to miss the chance to see Mars. The museum and gardens were fantastic, the site used to be a medieval church from the 12th century. I’m going to write a post about our visit as it’s a really interesting place.

This photo is of an ancient Yew tree, one of many in priory gardens, they are spectacular and so tall.

Today, I am going to stay overnight at my eldest daughter’s house. Jake is coming with me, and Chris and Daisy are staying home with Domino’s and a movie. Tomorrow we are going to the charity shops in the village where she lives. I’m really looking forward to spending some quality time with her. She is also cooking a Sunday dinner for me, what a treat!
