My word of the week is nice. It’s been a fairly quiet week nothing exciting has happened but there have been lots of little nice moments.
Indie and I have had some nice walks this week, even the grey skies haven’t dampened our spirits. I finally spotted some daffodils growing so that’s another sign of spring ticked off my list.
On Tuesdays, we’ve been watching Inside The Factory it’s such an interesting programme. We’ve watched the current ones so we are now watching the older episodes. This week Jake chose the Jellybeans episode for us all to watch. I bought some jellybeans so we could immerse ourselves in the experience. They turned out to be the exact brand that they made on the show which was a very happy coincidence.
Daisy and I had a nice time on Wednesday evening with our scrapbooks. It’s such a nice relaxing hobby to do together. We did realise that we are low on scrap/junk so we need to start collecting again over the next few weeks.
I had news of a nice prize win, a year’s supply of washing pods, the exact ones we use. I’m delighted with this win as it will save us some money. Prizes have been thin on the ground lately but that’s okay I still enjoy my hobby and that’s the main thing.
We have some nice plans for next week when the kids are off school. Over the weekend we are going to see Mars by Luke Jerram at a local museum, we saw his Moon a few years ago. I’ve got two charity shop trips planned, one with my eldest daughter and another with my friend. My eldest son is also coming for a visit.
And lastly, I can’t forget Valentine’s Day. We are having a nice homecooked meal and dessert as a family. We like to celebrate it as a family rather than as a romantic couple.
I’m linking up with Anne from Raisie Bay for Word of the Week.
Nice is a good word actually. Because some weeks are uneventful but you still feel content.
All sounds nice and lovely. Where do you go to for those prizes? Congrats on your win by the way. The scrapbooking and charity shop hunting sound nice too. I think I’d love those. All the best for the Valentines day dinner, what a nice idea.
A week filled with nice moments sounds like a good one! I love seeing the daffodils at this time of year. I used to watching Inside The Factory all of the time, it is so interesting. Well done with the washing pods win! x
I like the sound of your week. Congrats on winning the washing pods! We did a family meal for Valentines too.
I’m glad you had a nice week. I remember when I was sick from school they used to have informative programs about factories and I was fascinated, so I love Inside the Factory. I used to love visiting Cadbury world were they would let you view what was going on inside the actual factory but they’ve taken that part away now. They do show a little bit of the working but it’s done by actors, not the actual workers.
Glad you had lots of nice moments. How interesting to watch about the jellybeans being made. Scrapbooking with Daisy sounds like a lovely thing to do together. Well done on winning a year’s supply of washing pods – what a great prize. Hope you enjoyed seeing Mars. #WotW
