The word that sums up this week is pleasant and what a lovely word it is. The weather has been beautiful, life is good, and I’m feeling very grateful.

Daisy finished school for Easter almost a week before Jake, so she’s been enjoying her time off. She’s been swimming with her friends, played on her Xbox and had a bike ride to the library with me.

Jake has had a good final week in school. He entered the decorated egg competition, choosing a medieval theme. He made a model of E-gg-scalibur, he didn’t win but had fun making it.

The weather has been beautiful all week, with blue skies every day. It’s been a bit chilly first thing in the morning and at nighttime, but the daytime has been lovely and warm. I’ve been pottering around the garden, tidying up and refilling the bird table with seeds as the birds have been enjoying them.

My friend came to visit for a coffee and a chat, we met through our love of entering competitions many years ago. It’s always lovely to have a catch-up and talk about our hobby and share tips. That was a lovely pleasant morning well spent.

I actually won a nice prize this week too, a £150 Virgin Experience voucher. I’m not sure what I’m going to use it for yet but there are lots of things to choose from.

I’m looking forward to some more pleasant days while the kids are off for Easter. We don’t have lots of plans but it’s always nice to have them home.
