This week has been rather lovely, we’ve had family round for a barbecue and tea and I’ve been out with my friend so sociable is the perfect word. Everyone seems to descend on us in the same week, its hectic but lots of fun.
It’s not often I have all my kids under the same roof but on Wednesday my two big ones and my grandson came for a barbecue. My eldest boy is heading back to university this weekend so it was lovely to see him before he went. I feel so lucky when I have them all together and in awe that I managed to create four awesome human beings.
My father-in-law has been coming to us regularly for tea since his wife passed away. It’s been lovely to get to know him better despite it being in sad circumstances. I haven’t always been the most sociable of people, but I’m finding with age I’m getting better at it. I made a chicken casserole in the slow cooker which was delicious.
On Thursday evening I went out with one of my oldest comping buddies. We first met years ago on a forum dedicated to our hobby, she offered to pick me up and take me to a local competition meeting and we’ve been friends ever since. I don’t often get to sit down and chat about the hobby I love so much and have been doing for over 17 years. Up until a couple of years ago a bunch of us from Cheshire used to meet up once a month but sadly we don’t anymore.
It’s been a lovely week catching up with everyone but the introvert in me is ready for some alone time.

I’m always exactly the same after a busy week. I love catching up with friends and family but then I’m ready to hide in a dark, quiet room by the end of it! I’m so glad you had such a nice week with everyone 🙂 #WotW

Aw I bet it was lovely getting them all together Angela I am dreading the time I have to book appointments to see them all. Although i do love catering for a crowd I am a bit like Monica that way I am a feeder! What a fab hobby I bet its a little addictive, have a lovely week x
