Degustabox sent us their August box to review recently, the kids were very excited to open it up and see what was inside. The day before it arrived I received an email and a text message advising me that my box would arrive the following day. I also received another email and text on the morning of delivery day with an hour time slot. I thought this was a really good idea as you can change the slot if it’s not convenient or you are going to be out.

The box arrived well-packaged and everything inside was secure. There’s a good layer of bubble wrap to keep all the products in place.

Opening the box is always exciting, you never know what you are going to find inside.

This combination is perfect for breakfast, especially if you want to start your day the healthy way.

Spectacular Grains from Dorset Cereals is made with toasted spelt flakes and popped grains for a crispier taste, rrp £3.49.

Good Hemp Unsweetened Dairy-Free Drink is a delicious alternative to milk. Perfect for hot drinks, smoothies or pouring over cereals, rrp £1.60.

One of the things I love about Degustabox is that you get to try new and unusual flavoured products. I would probably never have picked these up in a shop but they were actually quite refreshing.

Gunna Craft Soft Drinks are low in sugar but full of flavour, rrp £1.09 each. 

Who wouldn’t want to find sweeties inside their surprise box? These didn’t last long in our house as you can imagine. It’s great to see an old favourite with reduced sugar content.

Rowntree’s Random’s 30% Less Sugar Pouch, the same sweets you know and love but now with less sugar, rrp £1.29. 

Packet noodles are regularly my go-to quick lunch so I was happy to find some inside the box. I have actually bought these before so I know I already like them.

Maggi 3 Minute Noodles, rrp 50p.

Coffee is always a winner, I have never tried this brand before so I was intrigued to see what it tastes like. It’s actually rather nice for an instant coffee, I’ve replaced my usual afternoon coffee with a cup of this instead.

illy Instant Smooth Taste, is a unique 100% arabica blend, rrp £5.85.

Tuna is one of those things that I never think to dress up, I usually just add mayo or put it in my salad as it comes. This flavour sounds delicious, I can’t wait to try it.

John West Infusions Salad Tuna Fillets are available in 3 flavours, Chilli & Garlic, Basil and Lemon & Thyme, rrp £2.29.

These mixes are a great way to try some new flavours, we have tried other products from the Capsicana range and haven’t been disappointed.

Capsicana Brazilian Smoked Paprika & Spices Seasoning Mix, perfect for the BBQ, rrp £1.50.

Capsicana Mexican Guacamole Mix, rrp 65p. 

Another product that was gobbled up straight away was these cereal bars. The kids absolutely love snack bars so I’m always looking for healthier alternatives for them and these hit the spot.

Boka Cereal Bars are low in fat, saturated fat, sugars and salt and contain less than 100 calories, rrp 75p each. 

It’s always good to find a little boozy treat for the grown-ups in the Degustabox.

Crooked Beverage Co Alcoholic Soda is light, refreshing and totally delicious, rrp £2.00.

I also found some money off coupons inside which I thought was a great bonus. There are usually a few things in the box that I want to purchase after trying so it’s great to be able to save some money.

The retail price of the products in the box is £23 so with this box costing £12.99 I think that’s a brilliant bargain. Even if there are things inside the box you might not enjoy you could always pass them along to family or friends or even donate them to your local food bank.
