“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Jake
It’s been a pretty good week for Jake, he’s settled back into school nicely and was very excited to see the addition of a dark den in hos classroom. He’s learning all about the seasons and nature this term, he’s full of questions as usual especially about migrating birds and hibernating animals. His teacher took me aside to show me some of the science work he’s been doing, she told me she’s really impressed with the language he’s been using. It makes me happy that he enjoys learning so much, even if it means I have to consult my good pal google every day.
We made banana bread this weekend and Jake took the lead, in fact apart from putting the oven on and melting the butter I didn’t do much at all really.
Daisy
We went to Lady Lever Art Gallery at the weekend to see a Quentin Blake and John Yeoman exhibition and the kids loved it. Daisy made a beeline for the reading tent of course, we had to coax her out again. I would love to make a dedicated reading area at home like this for the kids. Who am I kidding I want one for myself !
How lovely would a dedicated reading den at home be?! Great captures!
Thanks Jade, not sure I would ever come out if we had a dedicated den x
I can totally understand the desire for a reading corner within the home #livingarrows
It would be lovely wouldn’t it x
It sounds like they’ve settled back into the routine well. It makes life so much easier when they enjoy learning doesn’t it? #LivingArrows
It really does Sarah x
I love how much your little lady loves reading – her and Athena would definitely get on. Jake looks like he’s doing a fine job with that baking x
I think they would too, a pair of little book worms. I love indulging her love of books x
