Each Sunday I share a week in review that includes little snippets of our family life, anything fun we have done and any milestones that we reach.
Busy
It’s been a busy old week here. I have been packing away all the summer clothes and toys and swapping them for Autumn clothes and toys. Does anyone else really enjoy doing that? I love swapping out Daisy’s toys and books, I think it really helps to keep her engaged in play too.
Charity Shops
This week I have been searching the charity shops and selling sites on Facebook for books that are Autumn/Winter related. I want to build up a collection of seasonal reads.
While searching I also found a couple of Halloween dressing up items on Facebook for £1, fantastic for adding to the dressing up box.
Carrot Soup
I made some delicious Carrot soup to use up some vegetables for Zero Waste Week. It was super simple to make and was lovely and filling this time of year.
Painting
On Friday we had lots of messy play fun with paint.
Prize
The Fancy Dress costume I won on Twitter arrived this week. I knew choosing this one for Halloween was a great idea. Daisy looked so cool in it and loved posing for photo’s, I’m going to make a Swag bag to go with it.
Weekend
This weekend we went on a lovely long walk, first to the park and then through a little forest. The weather was beautiful and it was lovely to see the trees starting to change colour. We also spotted some blackberry bushes that weren’t quite ripe so we are planning on going back next week to pick some.
That’s all for this week, next week I am going to be organising our packing for our short break in Cornwall. I’m trying to make sure Daisy has plenty to occupy her on the long journey. Do you have anything fun planned this week? Leave me a comment below if you like.
