Extreme Couponing UK style

If you are anything like me and get a huge buzz from getting groceries for free, then you will probably love watching shows like Extreme Couponing and Extreme Cheapskates. I love watching them for a little inspiration and although in the UK we can’t coupon to the extent they do is the US it’s still fun to try.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to have a dedicated couponing trip. I used to coupon a lot but had lost my confidence recently as some stores treat you like you are stealing from them which can be embarrassing.

I’ve decided to give it a go again and just put the goods back if they won’t take my coupons. My trip was a success and I paid a £1 for all the goodies below.

I keep all my coupons in a little folder . I usually wait until the items are on offer to maximise the savings. My advice would be to plan your trips, make a note of what you are looking for and enjoy the spoils.

There are some great Facebook pages and blogs popping up about Extreme couponing in the UK. It’s certainly a hobby that’s gaining traction in this country.

Between the time I spend entering competitions, applying for freebies and completing surveys I can’t take it to the extreme but every little helps as they say.
