It’s time for week 7 of my money on the side series where I share with you all the ways I have made money on the side and brought in little treats for my family. Despite my intentions to get back to earning this week it just hasn’t happened. Instead I’ve been enjoying a much slower pace of life, taking some much-needed time for myself.
After a relaxing weekend I’m ready to get going again. I’m almost finished my Christmas gift shopping, so next on my agenda will be saving for festive food. I love that I can help contribute to treats for our family while working around them at home. I’m certainly very lucky to be able to do so.
Some important things to note before I begin.
All earnings from income streams including blogging, surveys, focus groups etc must be declared for tax purposes. I recommend using a spreadsheet to keep track it makes completing your tax return a lot easier.
In the UK prizes are not taxable.
For freebies I will try to include links where I can, lots are time sensitive offers so may have expired by the time I post.
Earnings
£20 Argos vouchers (cashed out from Consumer Pulse).
£2.75 Prolific Academic.
£3 Populus Live surveys.
£4 Pinecone Research survey.
£2 Viewsbank*.
Various points on Ipsos i-Say, Mint Vine*& Q-Mee.
Wins
I won this Marge In Charge* book from a fellow blogger in August and it arrived this week. Daisy is just getting into chapter books so it’s perfect for her.
I also won a family ticket to the circus but it was very short notice so I asked them to re-draw.
While attending Blog On in Manchester at the weekend I won a prize on the raffle. I chose this Gazillion Giant Bubble Machine, the kids love it.
Blog Reviews
We are working with Appy Kids on a review and giveaway. The kids can’t wait to get stuck in. Look out for the giveaway next week.
Review
This xtava Pro-Satin Infrared Straightener arrived for me to review. I don’t do many reviews nowadays unless it’s for blogging purposes but after previously reviewing the xtava curling wand recently I was happy to accept.
Freebies
I was lucky enough to spot another freebie on the Sky Store. We haven’t seen this Spiderman film yet so I’m looking forward to watching it.
A good bag is always included as part of the Blog On ticket price. It always contains lots of lovely gifts from generous brands. There was more than in this photo but the kids raided my goodies as soon as I got home.
Bargains
This week’s bargains are once again from Home Bargains. I needed some storage bins to keep my blog review items in. I found these lovely storage bins, the larger one was only £3.49 and the smaller one was £1.99. They are both really good quality.
If you have enjoyed this week’s post then make sure you check out last week’s Money On The Side post too.
I could do with a review basket too! Love these especially the spotty one.
