Friday is here once again, far too quickly and it’s time to share my #LittleLoves. The weeks seem be zooming by and it will soon be the Summer holidays. I’m looking forward to the much slower pace that the holidays bring. I’m not so much looking forward to keeping two small humans occupied.
Despite it being quite a busy week I’ve made some time for myself. I’ve watched some TV and even read a few chapters of a book. I’ve starting to realise how important it is to take a little time for myself every single day to enjoy the things I love.
Read
I’ve actually picked up an actual book this week and read it. I’ve had The Girl On The Train on my shelf for ages. I really liked the film and I think the book is even better. I’m trying to read at least two chapters a day to get me back into the swing of things.
Watched
I watched the best moments of Game of Thrones on Wednesday night. I’m silly excited for the new season. It’s made me want to binge-watch the whole series again. I can’t wait to see where season 7 will take the characters.
Heard
On Thursday morning I went into Daisy’s class for the final parent workshop of the school year. Each child stood up and told everyone about their ‘golden moments’ of the year. It was so lovely to hear what Daisy and her classmates were proud of achieving. Daisy said she was most proud that she could solve lots of new number problems.
Made
I have not made a single thing this week unless you count the time I’ve made for myself.
Wore
I will have to hand this section over to Daisy this week. Lots of the girls in her class have been wearing their hair in pigtails lately so Daisy has requested some too. I love doing her hair in plaits and pigtails she looks so sweet. I did however draw the line when she asked me to buy her one of those huge bows, some were bigger than her head!
And lastly…
I have absolutely no plans for this weekend which are lovely. I usually have a to-do list as long as my arm but not this weekend. I’m looking forward to spending some time with Chris and the kids. We have a couple of new games to play and I have a bottle of Prosecco chilling with my name on it.
Sounds like a great week! The Golden Moments at school sound really sweet, such a lovely thing to do! Enjoy your plan-free weekend and make the most of drinking that prosecco 😉 #littleloves
Thanks Jess x
I’m also so excited for Game of Thrones and have been rewatching the older seasons – the perks of maternity leave. I think I’ll find it hard to go back to one episode per week! What a lovely idea the golden moments was. Enjoy your lazy weekend!
Watching one episode a week will drive me bonkers, we are so used to binge watching stuff now !
We just watched the last series of GOT to remind ourselves what’s been going on. So looking forward to the new series. I have the prosecco chilling too. Enjoy
I think I might do the same before the new series starts too.
I’m a big advocate of making time for yourself each day, even as a parent, so I love that you’ve been trying to do that! I also love your coaster – drinking tea and reading a book, that is my happy place. I haven’t seen the film but I quite enjoy the book of The Girl on the Train more than I thought I would.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
You must give it a watch Jade, the acting is really good x
I am so with you when it comes to making time for yourself – I think it is SO important! Girl on the Train is brilliant – I haven’t seen the film yet but really want to! xx
Definitely watch it Chantal, it’s really good x
We are so excited for game of thrones to come out but sadly it’s when my hubby is in the UK and I am in the USA so we promised not to watch it until I am back in September from the states to watch together. Such a great show. I think he will secretly watch it without me. hahahah Hope you are having a great weekend #litteloves
Oh no Jenny it will be so hard to avoid spoilers ! have a fab time in the USA x
So much awesome in this post – The Girl on the Train, Game of Thrones and Prosecco. Yes, queen!
Thanks Emma, it’s all good stuff this week !
Love the Golden Moments idea, it’s so lovely to find out what they think their achievements have been and not just what the teacher thinks.
I know that you mean about those bows, they are crazy aren’t they? xx
