Word Of The Week-Busy

My word of the week is busy, it really does sum up the kind of week I’ve had. I thought after all the sorting I did last week I could have a more relaxed and chilled week but I was wrong.

The week has been filled with appointments, shopping trips, Halloween activities and deep cleaning. It seems like these final few months of the year are the busiest for me, my diary for November is already looking full.

I do like to keep busy but where my mind is willing my body unfortunately isn’t anymore. Pacing has been my friend this week but things have still felt incredibly busy.

The week started with a trip to several different stores to do my big monthly shop. On payday, I like to stock up on things like washing pods, toilet rolls, and pet food. The stores are definitely starting to get busier. A new huge Home Bargains opened recently, and it’s always jam-packed in there. There was also the weekly shopping to do too, I am definitely all shopped out now.

Halloween activities have been fun, the kids carved their pumpkins, did some craft activities and of course went trick-or-treating. Jake and I made some delicious pumpkin pies, making them has become our yearly tradition now.

Our grandson stayed over on Wednesday night so he would be here to enjoy the Halloween celebrations with us. We had a little party with hot dogs, pizza, cake and lots of sweets. I think even when the kids are older I will always do something to celebrate the season it’s so much fun.

I had a couple of telephone appointments this week that went well, I’m so grateful that these don’t have to be done in person. It’s so much easier over the phone than having to travel to the hospital or clinic.

On Wednesday evening I took part in a market research focus group which was interesting. I do like sharing my thoughts and ideas and of course, the incentive is always welcome.

In between that busyness, I have been ticking some jobs off my deep cleaning list. There’s always something that needs doing it seems never-ending. I have to remind myself that life and our home won’t always be this busy but I think I might be fooling myself.

I’m taking to day off on Friday and I’m not doing anything remotely busy. I will take some time to read, enter some competitions and watch TV.

  1. Life is always busier this time of year, and shops are definitely busier. I’m glad I do most of my shopping online! I remember taking part in a Market Research group once all about bread advertisements. It was fun at first but seem to go on for ages. I was glad to grab my cash and go at the end.
