This week has been all about waiting. Waiting for Christmas, for appointments and for packages to arrive. The kids have been eagerly awaiting the end of school as well, getting up in the morning has been even more difficult than usual.
This week has been fairly quiet for me, everything for Christmas has been done apart from needing a few fresh bits from the shops at the weekend. I’ve been waiting for some parcels to arrive and some emails and messages to be replied to. There are a few appointments I need to get out of the way before Christmas too.
The excitement for Christmas has been building for the kids, I found this lovely countdown taped to Jake’s drawers that he had made.
I bought these fun magic trees for the kids. They didn’t have to wait long for them to grow. I used to get these in my stocking as a kid and they were my favourite gift. It’s where my love of science began I think.
In other news this week, Jake took part in a Christmas singing show at school. It’s not his favourite thing to do but I’m proud of him for taking part. His class also enjoyed some festive food and he gets to wear his Christmas jumper on Friday. Daisy also gets to wear her Christmas jumper on Friday but over her uniform which I think is a little bit Bah Humbug of the school. She will also get to finish early which makes her very happy indeed.
I’ve had some lovely prizes arrive this week, I feel very grateful and lucky. Here are just some of the prizes I won in one competition. Everything is locally produced and perfect for Christmas treats.
Indie had two prizes arrive for her, both were treat bundles so that’s her sorted well into the new year.
This time next week the waiting will all be over, Christmas will be done and dusted and a new year will be on the horizon.
All that’s left to be said is Happy Christmas, I hope however you celebrate you have a lovely day.
We’ve had similar waiting for the end of school, for parcels to arrive and the excitement of waiting for Christmas. Love Jake’s countdown calendar. Well done to him for taking part in his singing show at school. I love the magic tree. We’ve never had one of those – will have to look out for them as Sophie and Thomas would love them. What lovely prizes you won in the competitions. Hope you and your family have a good Christmas x #WotW

Oh wow! That tree is a blast from the past, I remember getting one every year in my stocking!
Well done with the competition wins! I’ve entered hundreds in December and won nothing! I think I am going to havee to try more with one’s local to me.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. xxx
