This week’s word of the week is Organised, after last week’s post about re-evaluating I decided it was time to pull my socks up and get back to being organised in all areas of my life. I’m one of those annoying people who love organising I love nothing more than de-cluttering, cleaning and sorting my wardrobe according to colour (true story).
I don’t like the feeling of being disorganised, I thrive on order and routine not that I’m a total stickler I do like the odd moment of spontaneity but I do find that I feel so much better mentally and physically if everything is in it’s place.
Instead of a planner or diary, I use a bullet journal and this really helps to keep me organised but because I’ve spent most of the month feeling sorry for myself I haven’t kept up with it, this week I’ve made the effort to journal every day and it’s really helped get me back on track.
I’ve also just started using a new planner for organising my blog and workload, splitting it into only a few tasks per day has really helped to keep me motivated and my productivity has been through the roof this week.
We’ve started to implement some new routines at home with the children which seem to be going really well and I’ve been organising my time better during the day to the point that I’ve even had time to read a chapter a day of an actual book something that I haven’t done in a long time.
Anyway, I’d better run along and sort my pens in nib length order (only kidding).
I’m linking up with Jocelyn from The Reading Residence for Word Of The Week.

I’m the complete opposite. I’m quite happy in relative chaos, although I will admit that I do make lists occasionally. Having children has forced me to stick to a routine. Enjoy your pen organizing ! #wotw
My children seem to thrive on routine don’t they. I’m an avid list maker too.
Oh, I love a bit or organisation! I like to live in tidy order, too, helps my head to remain clear! Loving your stationery and well done on being super-productive x Thanks for sharing with #WotW
I sometimes think my brain works in sync with my surroundings, the more organised I am the better I feel.
Ohh! Go you! It is great being organised! It sounds like things are going well x
Thanks, just got to keep it up now 🙂
Oh I love my planner, I couldn’t do anything without it! Although you do sound super more organised that me! Best of luck and I hope things get back on track for you

Thanks for your comment x
Getting organised is such a satisfying feeling isn’t it? I love the look of your planner and glad the routines are working well.
Thanks, yes it’s very satisfying 🙂
A bullet journal- one that you have spent time writing out yourself yeh? Hmm Ive seen a few of these about and gosh they seem such hard work!
It depends how detailed you want it to be, I keep mine fairly simple for day to day tasks and usually spend about 10 minutes in the evening planning the next day, it’s the only type of journal/diary that I’ve consistently kept up with.
Being organised and feeling like you are accomplishing things feels so great. It sounds like you are buzzing with happiness. #WotW
It does feel great I really do get a great sense of achievement from being organised.
A fellow organiser! I like order too but I’ve had to learn (the hard way) that with three kids, that’s not always possible. It definitely makes me feel happier and more settled though.
I definitely feel happier the more organised I am, it makes everything seem easier too.
