We have so many shelves full to the brim with books, reading together is something we have always enjoyed since the kids were babies. Most of the books we own will be passed along eventually for someone else to enjoy. My favourite books for the kids are ones that have been personalised. The ones they can keep forever and maybe pass along to their own kids one day.
Wonderbly make fantastic personalised books that ignite kids’ imaginations and they recently got in touch to offer Daisy and Jake each one of their brand-new My Golden Ticket books to review.
My Golden Ticket, in collaboration with Roald Dahl, offers kids a unique adventure through Willy Wonka’s Factory. No two adventures are the same in this wonderfully personalised storybook. Each name gets its own story including its own unique candy, Oompa Loompa song and Wonkafield family tree.
I found the initial ordering process really simple. The Wonderbly website guides you through each step of the personalisation process. One feature that I absolutely loved was that I could include a personal dedication at the beginning of the book. It made the book that little more extra special.
Once I had completed the personalisation process I was able to preview my order and go back and make any changes required. The checkout process was easy to navigate and complete too.
When the books arrived I was delighted with the quality of them. I opted for the hardback cover as I thought this would be more durable as a keepsake. I particularly like the purple cover and gold lettering on the front cover.
The kids were so excited to start reading their stories. We sat down together and read the first few pages. There were squeals of delight when they realised they were in the books along with either Mummy or Daddy.
There is so much to look at on each page, the design and illustrations are just brilliant. Both the kids loved and enjoyed following along with their journey through the chocolate factory.
We have been taking turns, reading a few pages from each of the books at bedtime. I asked them what their favourite thing about the book is, Daisy said she likes seeing her name in it and Jake said the pictures of the candy.
I think this book would make a thoughtful birthday or Christmas gift for the children in your life.
My Golden Ticket is available to buy now, visit the Wonderbly website for pricing and more information.
This is a great review. I’m considering buying my son one from his grandparents but there aren’t many pictures of the inside of the book on the website so this is really helpful. Thanks
