The colder weather has well and truly arrived so it’s time to dig out your autumn and winter wardrobe. After months in storage, it’s definitely time for a winter wardrobe refresh, this is where ACE for Colours Powder comes to the rescue. If like me you store your family’s autumn and winter wardrobe and it’s badly in need of a refresh there’s no need to rush out and spend your money, take the #ACEWinterRefresh challenge like me.

Brand-new from ACE comes ACE for Colours Powder which reinvigorates and brings your coloured garments back to life with its stain removing powers. Also unlike other stain removers, it comes in a plastic-free fully recyclable carton.

I’m sharing some tips with you about how you can have a winter wardrobe refresh without buying anything new.

A Winter Wardrobe Refresh Without Buying Anything New

Storage

In today’s world of fast fashion its more important than ever to be mindful of the clothes we buy and the way we look after them.  At the end of each season, I pack our clothes away in good quality storage containers that fit perfectly under our beds if space is a problem I highly recommend vacuum pack bags. I also recommend popping a couple of dryer sheets into the containers to keep your clothes smelling fresh.

I save so much money by storing all our seasonal clothing as very often the clothes will still fit the kids so keeping them in a good condition is super important to me. Here’s what I store for the cooler months:

  • Jumpers
  • Cardigans
  • Coats
  • Jackets
  • Long sleeve tops
  • Hats
  • Gloves
  • Scarves
  • Hoodies
  • Thick tights
  • Pinafore dresses

ACE For Colours Powder

ACE for Colours Powder keeps colours bright, fresh and clean meaning they last for longer. You can use ACE in your daily wash to help keep clothes looking fresher for longer, you also won’t have to worry about stains when you pack your winter clothes away.

After unpacking your winter wardrobe you can use ACE for Colours Powder to bring your clothes back to life, restoring those vibrant colours and refreshing those cosy favourites. ACE is a gentle stain remover so you can be confident using it on kids’ clothes too.

After unpacking our winter clothes I washed them all using the ACE for Colours Powder, I really liked how easy the powder is to use and the pleasant scent. You can use the powder straight in your wash by adding 2 tablespoons (normal soil/stains) to the machine draw whilst the water flows at the start of the wash. You can also pre-treat and soak heavier stained garments for better results. I really like that ACE is active at 30º as I can save even more money washing at lower temperatures.

You can pick up the ACE product range including ACE for Colours Powder at your nearest Morrison’s store or buy online at Amazon.

Clothes Swap

A great way to save money and refresh your wardrobe is to do a clothes swap. Ask family or friends around and host a clothes swap each season. This is a particularly good idea if you have kids as they outgrow clothes so quickly and the costs of kitting them out each season soon add up.

Get Creative

Learn how to make small repairs on your favourite clothes, we’ve had so many jumpers and cardigans over the year with small pulls or buttons missing but I haven’t wanted to part with them. By watching videos on YouTube I’ve learned some fun and easy fixes. Learning how to layer and style your clothes is another great way to revamp and reinvigorate for the cooler seasons.

You can also learn how to revamp tired old clothing by turning them into something else, like Jeans into shorts or jumpers into tank tops the possibilities are endless.
