Sweetly UK Review and Giveaway

Regular readers of the blog will know that I’ve given some delicious American candy bundles away over the last few months so when the lovely folks at Sweetly UK got in touch to ask if I would like to review one of their new American candy subscription boxes and run a giveaway for my readers of course I said yes.

Sweetly is a brand new American candy box subscription service, when you join you will receive a monthly package containing a hand-picked selection of American candy, soda and sweeties and snacks.  Each box contains 12-14 items including at least 5 premium items. The subscription plans are totally flexible you can cancel pause and upgrade at any time.

When my box arrived I couldn’t believe how much they had managed to squeeze into the box, I’ve tried lots of American candy so I was surprised that there were loads of goodies in the box that I had never tried before. I of course had to limit myself to a few nibbles which was fins as i had a few willing taste testers to share with, my absolute favourite in the box was the 5th Avenue chocolate bar which is a combination of chocolate and crunchy peanut butter. My crazy children absolutely loved trying the extremely sour Lemonhead and nerds candy.

img_2334 img_2337 img_2344 img_2345I think the boxes are great value considering how expensive it can be to buy all the items individually and you get to try lots of new and different goodies each month, if you have a sweet tooth and love subscription boxes then this is the box for you. You can get 10% off your first order by entering the code WEBSTERLAND10.

Sweetly have kindly offered to send one of my lucky readers a box of their own to enjoy, you can enter with the Gleam app below there is one mandatory task and the rest are optional, you can even come back every day for extra entries.

Look In My Letterbox

This week has been nice and steady for post arriving, I’ve had some freebies, one prize and some purchases but I can’t show you those as they are a birthday present so top secret. I’ve been thinking lately about the good old days of comping where nice surprises would arrive every week, I do miss that but I just haven’t had the time I would like to dedicate to entering competitions lately.

This cute little Guerlain freebie arrived from SoPost, the perfume smells lovely.

I got these Johnson’s baby wipes from BzzAgent, I just have to try them and write a review, this is the brand we use for Jake so I already know I like them.

These sample sachets of Kerastase are another SoPost freebie I love trying hair care samples although with having long hair they don’t always go that far.

I cashed out these Argos vouchers from consumer pulse and I’ve already put them to good use buying some Christmas presents.

I think these activity packs from the rspb are brilliant it arrived just in time for the Summer holidays Daisy and I will have fun taking part.

It really was a case of being in the right place at the right time when I won these free meal vouchers from Amy’s kitchen on Twitter, you had to be one of the first five people to retweet and only one other person had, I love their macaroni cheese it’s delicious.

Have you had anything nice arrive in the post this week ? leave me a comment below I love hearing from you.

Look In My Letterbox

I was going to give this weeks look in my letterbox a miss but I do enjoy sharing with you all the nice things that arrive every week. I have a prize, a freebie, a review item and a purchase to show you.

I won this family Tatton Park ticket from a local Facebook page competition. We have lots of days out to plan this Summer and all for free thanks to this wonderful hobby.

I’ve been sent these earphones to review. They wrap round your wrist so you can ‘wear your sound’ look out for a review coming soon.

We have tried Naturelly Jelly Juice a few times and the kids love it. I’m really happy with this coupon for a free juice and money off another purchase. I’ve reviewed Naturelly Jelly Juice in the past.

I first bought a copy of The Secret when I was holiday in the USA. Almost a year after reading itmy life changed completely. I really believe that the things I learned from reading this book brought my husband into my life and set me on the path to where I am now. I lent my copy to someone and never got it back and have really wanted to replace it ever since so I treated myself to it with some vouchers I had tucked away.

Look In My Letterbox

I have a little bit of a mixed bag to show you for this weeks look in my letterbox. I did win a prize this week but it hasn’t arrived yet. I really must try and get back into the swing with competitions I keep dipping in and out just lately.

This delicious freebie from The Good Guru arrived really quickly. I only applied for it at the beginning of the week.

I redeemed two more Argos vouchers from Consumer Pulse. I’m saving them up all year and spend them at Christmas.

Daisy loves it when this freebie Lego magazine pops through the letterbox. Batman is her favourite super hero so she was doubly delighted with it this month.

I love these shampoo and conditioner samples, you can decide if you like the product without wasting money on a full sized product.

I’m reading and reviewing this book from Mumsnet book club. It’s been ages since I read an actual book I usually read on my kindle so I’m really looking forward to diving in it’s pages this weekend.

I’ve been sent this umbrella to review on Amazon. I’m being really selective with the products I get offered to review nowadays but I needed a new umbrella and this one is great as it’s windproof and really good quality.

I’m really happy with this months pop in a box delivery but it will be my last one for a while, I’m cancelling all of my subscription boxes while I concentrate on our savings but i will definitely sign up again in the future.

Look In My Letterbox

I don’t have a lot to show you this week. Up until Wednesday nothing had arrived at all so I thought I would be giving this weeks Look In My Letterbox a miss.  Postal freebies are so thin on the ground at moment and the ones that are available seem to be going really fast.

I’m back into the swing of things with my favourite hobby comping. I have put in every spare moment I’ve had this week so I’m hoping to reap the rewards of that soon.

FreebiesIMG_0251I’m not sure whether to class this as a freebie as such. It’s £3 that I can spend on something nice though.IMG_0252I spotted this freebie at last minute. It will save us some money over the Summer as we have a couple of train trips planned.

PrizesIMG_0253I won First Animals and First Animal Homes  from BrainBox games Facebook page. Daisy and I spent a rainy afternoon this week playing with them.

ReviewsIMG_0254I’ve been sent two of these selfie phone clips from Paladone. One for review and another to giveaway on my blog. I’m terrible at taking selfies someone’s head always gets cut out of the photo.Hopefully this will help.

I don’t know about you but I have a terrible sweet tooth, I love chocolate, sweeties, cakes and especially American candy so I thought I would share that love with you in this months giveaway.

I’ve been to America twice and they really know a thing or two about the sweet stuff so instead of offering you familiar chocolate and sweeties as a prize I raided the American candy section in B&M Stores so you could try something new.

Look In My Letterbox

Considering we didn’t get any post for a couple of days I still have some nice things to show you. There are a few purchases I’ve had to leave out as they a birthday presents and I don’t want to spoil the surprise. Let’s have a look in my letterbox.

I’ve had notification of a few wins this week so I can’t wait to show you those when they arrive. I’ve had very little time to comp recently but investing time looking for low entry competitions seems to be paying off for me.

FreebiesIMG_9761[1]These seeds came from the Kew Gardens website. We plant wild flowers in Daisy’s special planter in the garden so this is a fantastic freebie for us.IMG_9763[1]I got this PurOrganica elixir for free in exchange for a review on Amazon. I have a few of their products and haven’t been disappointed yet.IMG_9762[1]I’m testing this new Comfort for the Mumsnet Insight Panel. Make sure you sign up as they have some great product tests and surveys on offer every month.IMG_9785[1]I went to my first ever blogging conference last Sunday (BlogOnMSI) and in one of the goody bags was a £10 voucher for LED Hut. I treated myself to these lovely Lumilife candles that were on sale.  They even threw in a free bag of sweeties what a treat.

PrizesIMG_9786[1]I won this fantastic prize from a blog competition. This means we can have two whole weekends visiting some of the beautiful National Trust properties we have locally to us. These type of prizes really make me smile as we can still have a great day out without breaking our budget.

Reviews IMG_9821[1]I’m reviewing the new ration box from Real Handful and they have sent me an extra box to give away to one of my lovely readers. Look out for that next week on the blog.

Happy MailIMG_9796[1]

This yummy looking card and letter arrived from my awesome penpal Cupcake Mumma. It came after I had a few miserable days and it cheered me up so much. There is something about receiving a hand written letter that you just don’t get with email or text.

So that’s all for this week. Have you had anything nice arrive in the post this week ?

Win Cash Every Day With Lucky Phone

Have you signed up to with Lucky Phone yet ? it’s a daily prize draw lottery style site that is completely free to play. I’ve blogged before about the free daily lotteries I enter so I thought I would share this one with you now I’ve had a chance to try it out and win some points with them.

Before I go on I wanted to reassure you that lucky phone do not pass or sell your details on, all of the prize fund comes from their advertising revenue. I have entered my mobile number and have never received any nuisance or unwanted sales calls. If you prefer you can enter the lucky dip draw without your mobile number.

There are three draws made at midnight.

Lucky Dip Draw:  You are given a lucky dip set of 9 digits which are automatically entered into each draw, these numbers don’t change, the prize pot is £10.

Main Draw: If you enter your mobile number then it will be entered into the main draw each day, the prize pot is £20.

Mega Draw: A lottery style draw based on a winner matching all 9 numbers, the prize pot is up to £1000.

You need to visit the site each day to see if you have won, I opted in to receive the daily email so I don’t forget to check.

The best thing about this website is that not only can you win cash you can also win or earn loyalty points, you need 1000 to redeem £10 which is paid directly into your Paypal account as are any winnings.

I’ve won 50 loyalty points for matching 7 numbers on the lucky dip and several smaller amounts  on the other draws. The site is super simple to use and checking your numbers is really easy it takes just seconds, well worth the effort for some free cash.

If you do sign up make sure you come back and let me know if you get lucky.

Look In My Letterbox

I’m always happy to be back each weekend to share a look in my letterbox with you, even if it has been a slow week, I’m seriously beginning to wonder if my postie has gone part time and they haven’t covered his round, for the last two weeks we’ve only gotten post a couple of times a week.

I’ve been very disciplined this week and not bought anything online, I also haven’t had any prizes arrive but I did get some winning emails so hopefully those wins will arrive next week,

This is my first Bzzz campaign in an absolute age, I kept forgetting to update the surveys on my profile so I think that’s why I was missing out.

I love these little samples from Vichy, their products smell beautiful and feel luxurious, the samples always come with a money off voucher as well.

Since I began reviewing products on Amazon I’ve had a few companies email me directly to review things for them, I only ever accept products that I would definitely use or buy myself, I will let you know what results I get with this and what fun I have trying to use it.

So that’s all for this week, I’m linking up as always with Alice Megan for ‘Look in my Letterbox’.

Have you had anything exciting arrive this week ? leave me a comment below I love hearing from you.
