Living Arrows 10/52 {2019}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Jake

This weeks photo’s have to be from World Book Day, it was the highlight of our week, that and pancakes. Jake went back to school on Wednesday after being off with the chickenpox. He’s settled right back in and is loving being with his friends and teachers again. I went into his class on Thursday for a parent workshop all about reading which was really nice.

In less than two months Jake will turn five, he asks me daily how many days until his birthday I think he might be a little excited about it. He wants to have a little tea party at home and visit an aquarium too which I’m sure we can accommodate.

Daisy

Daisy chose to dress up as Sophie from The BFG, she’s loving Roald Dahl books at the moment which is so lovely as he was my favourite author as a child too. She really enjoyed celebrating world book day this year and can’t wait to spend her book token.

  1. To be almost five and excited about your birthday! Bottle it up quick. Lovely costumes. I hope they had fun. I’m sure they did. No dressing up at secondary, but school did give out the vouchers and have the little books available for them to select, which I was impressed by. #MMBC

  2. World Book Day and Pancake Day in the same week really is living the dream! I love it when children get excited about books and Roald Dahl is an excellent choice! x

  3. It looks like your children had great fun for world book day. To be almost 5 is so exciting, his birthday plans sound rather lovely #mmbc

  4. Ahh the excitement of a birthday, we are counting down daily to a third birthday, I’m worried it will be quite an anticlimax when we finally get there! I loved the BFG too when I was younger, can’t wait to re-read all of those classics!

    1. Once birthdays are over in our house the kids normally find something else to countdown to like holidays or something at school. We are forever counting down for something x

  5. I can’t wait for my children to be old enough to celebrate World Book Day. I’m sure they will love dressing up.

  6. It’s lovely to see how quickly little ones adjust to different settings as if they’d never been away. #LivingArrows

  7. Oh the dream jar is fantastic. I can not wait until Monkey is into the BFG. He went as as Harry Potter. Sounds like school is going really well for Jake glad he’s settled back in again really quickly #LivingArrows
