“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Daisy
Daisy has been asking if she can do more and more things for herself lately. Her independence is growing rapidly and it’s definitely something I want to encourage. Every day she’s been making her own lunches, supervised by me of course.
At the moment she really enjoy helping me around the house too, unless it’s her own bedroom that needs cleaning. It’s quite nice actually to have a little helper to put away the pots and pans. I will make the most of it as I’m sure it won’t be long before I have to nag her to help me.
Jake
Despite looking super cool hanging out in the garden Jake’s not had the best of weeks. He started the week feeling a bit under the weather. On Monday he had a mammoth sleep, he dropped off on the couch at 5pm and didn’t wake until 6.30am the next day. He didn’t really stir when we carried him up to bed. He was a little better the next day and by Wednesday was back to his usual cheeky self.
This weather is playing havoc with his eczema too, he’s so itchy and the creams are just not helping. I’m really hoping he will grow out of it once he’s a bit older.

This weather is so hot for kids. I’m glad he’s feeling better now though. Definitely make the most of your daughter helping! #livingarrows
Jake really does look SO cool! And Daisy’s independence is amazing!! I don’t think Athena has made a sandwich yet x
The kids love it when I let them do things for themselves x
Aw well done Daisy – that’s so fab that she wants to help. And Jake does look cool – I hpe his eczema improves soon – mine got much better as I got older. #LivingArrows
Thanks Sarah, it’s encouraging to hear that your eczema improved x
