Every Friday I share five frugal things I’ve done to save or make money. I believe that a frugal lifestyle is an individual thing and there is no right or wrong way of going about it. From the smallest of savings to the greatest, it all adds up and contributes to living the life we want for less.
Five Frugal Things
1 ) More prizes have arrived this week and I seem to be on a fortunate winning streak. We have enough chocolate to see us through the summer and some lovely fruit juices from Pago that we will all enjoy. A bottle of Pineapple gin arrived which sounds delicious too.
2) Before ordering school uniforms for the new school year I searched around for discount codes. I had loyalty points in some of the accounts that I could use as money off my order and I went through Top Cashback to save even more money.
3) The dog and cat were the lucky recipients of some free samples this week. I spotted both of these free offers on my Facebook timeline.
4) On Monday morning I did a live user testing of a prototype website, it was lots of fun and very interesting. I will receive an incentive in the form of a voucher that I can then use for my grocery shopping.
5) I won £50 to spend at Amazon and used it to get the kids new school lunch bags and some toiletries that we needed. Vouchers are my favourite type of prize it’s like going shopping for free. It’s also really useful as the money I had allocated to buy these things can now be diverted into sinking fund pots instead.
