Disclosure: We were sent the Nick Jr. Ready Steady Dough set for free for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own. This post may contain affiliate links see our disclosure policy for more information.

I’m always on the lookout for bargains good value for money, and most importantly fun when it comes to buying gifts for the kids. We were recently sent the Nick Jr. Ready Steady Dough set which definitely ticks all those boxes. The set is jam-packed with pots of dough, tools and gizmos to help kids create all sorts of fun models. Daisy and Jake couldn’t wait to get stuck in and start creating.

With over 50 items in the box, it’s a perfect Christmas bumper pack. It’s suitable for ages 3+ and is available from The Entertainer.

What’s Included

10 x medium pots of dough

6  x small dough packs

1 x zig-zag roller

26 x alphabet cutters

1 x squeezy-station

2 x shape sliders

1 x rolling-pin

4 x shaped cutters

1 x plastic knife

Daisy quickly got to work with the squeezy shape station, she loved choosing shapes to make using the sliders.

She was also really excited to learn that you can blend the dough together to make new colours. Daisy loves being creative and being able to use the zig-zag tool and cutters really helped her imagination along.

Jake loved the alphabet cutters and the squeezy shape station once he got to have a turn. He loved squishing the dough together and rolling it out to make sausages and shapes.

The kids played for well over an hour with the Nick Jr. Ready Steady Dough set. Swapping tools and different colours and even pretending to make each other cakes and sausage rolls. Playing with dough is not only a great sensory experience it encourages role play and imagination too.

I am really impressed by the quality of the dough and the tools in this set. The low price certainly hasn’t affected the quality of the set at all. If you are looking for a birthday or Christmas gift that won’t break the bank then I can highly recommend this set.
