Disclosure: I was invited by Hotter Shoes to choose a pair of shoes free of charge during their My Hotter Moment event for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own. Please see our disclosure policy for more information.
Last week I was invited to the Hotter store in Chester to learn all about the history of Hotter shoes and to have a look at the new Autumn/Winter range for 2016.
I’m already a big fan of the shoes, I have a pair of Solar shoes which I wear for the school run. I might be frugal but one thing I won’t skimp on is good quality footwear, your feet have to carry you a long way so investing in them by buying good quality is definitely the way to go.
We received a warm welcome to the Chester store with Prosecco and delicious canapes, we spent a little time chatting and admiring the beautiful shoes, boots, and handbags on display before sitting down to listen to the history behind the company, the comfort concept and the shoe designs which was really interesting.
I didn’t realise just how local a company Hotter Shoes is, its factory and call centre are based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire here in the North West, the company was founded in 1959 and today has over 80 stores in the UK as well as thriving online store.
After our history lesson, it was time to have My HotterMoment, to find the perfect shoe for me, each pair has a secret Comfort Concept feature including cushioning, flexibility, lightness and wiggle room for toes.
I had spotted a few styles I liked so it was a tough decision trying to choose one pair, but after seeing some fellow bloggers trying on the Pixie boots my mind was made up.
Trying them on I knew I had made the right decision, the soft suede outer and the faux fur lining paired with the cushioned insoles and lightweight sole made me feel like I have slipped my feet into a pair of slippers and the tassel detail makes them look super stylish and on-trend. The Pixie boots will be perfectly paired with leggings and jeans in the colder months.
I also chose the beautiful Verity bag in burgundy, it has three generous-sized compartments inside and comes with a detachable strap.
I think you have definitely made the right decision, they look so comfy I’m actually thinking of getting a pair myself! It was such a lovely evening and it was great to be able to catch up with you. Enjoy your boots! xx
